About Time!

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم

Feels like almost another year has gone by since my last post and an additional year since I have been promising to finish up "Part 2" of "No Cell Phone".  Still, I say, "Al-hamdulillah" that our Creator, Allah, has given me the opportunity to be here once again attempting to write something to bring Him closer to us and bring us closer to Him.  So, it is "About Time," that I updated my blog; even more so, it is about time we drew closer to our "Care-Taker," Allah.

In case the title of this blog throws you off, albeit to a certain degree the titles of almost all my posts are meant to represent more than one meaning, I do not intend to address the much-mentioned and equally important topic of "time" itself.
Instead, I would like to remind myself and any readers who may be visiting this blog about something else --not entirely unrelated to time.  I take, yet, one more pause from my "No Cell Phone" post to remind everyone, including, and firstly, myself, that it's "about time" for a very special occasion that comes only once a year; it's about time for that special moment of our life that we should all wish to to meet in the best possible health and state of mind for as many years of our life that we remain breathing and alive.

Similar to my recent previous posts, I'd like to share this in the form of a Khutbah (Friday Sermon).  This time, however, instead of writing it out I have it in audio form.  It's not from a scholar, so every word is not special in and of itself, but there is a decent general meaning to it and a reminder.  I ask Allah, Subhaanahu Wa T'alaa, to allow us to benefit from it and to allow us to apply it into our lives with the best of sincerity.  Aameen.
